A self-portrait - elegantly juxtaposing the graceful body language of an octopus with flowing locks of hair. The image refers to the relaxation achieved when lowering the head below the heart, as practiced through yoga asanas (poses). Concurrently, the portrait expresses the artist's deep connection to the ocean, due to her extensive experience as a Certified S.C.U.B.A. Divemaster and Instructor. For the artist, the piece alludes to the use of breath, essential for the full edification of all activities.
